SUMMER CAMP

camp weeks

DAILY OR WEEKLY: June 12th - July 7th

WEEKLY ONLY: July 7th - September 1st

Campers must be 7+ years old (or case-by-case for experienced younger traceurs)

SUMMER CAMP AT BOLT

This summer, we are offering EXCLUSIVE camps (meaning at one facility all day) from June 12 - September 1.

OPTIONS: Half-day (AM or PM), Full-day, Half-day extended (AM or PM), and early drop off and/or late pick-up.

OTHER CAMP OPTIONS

If your camper is interested in attending half day at parkour and the other half learning gymnastics or martial arts, or mastering ninja warrior obstacle courses (agility), try MIX-IT-UP camp. Perfect for kids who want something different. Check it out!

We are also offering Bridging the Gap, a special camp for kids who want to learn fundamentals of ball sports (soccer or baseball) in a fun way. Using foam blocks, trampolines and other fun equipment, kids with aversions to ball sports will develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity. By combining Agility with baseball or parkour with soccer, this program helps kids develop confidence and provides a path to athletic success.

In addition to registering, all campers must have health forms processed prior to entering the gym.

Other EXCLUSIVE CAMPS at our partner gyms

Same options, different gyms. Our partner gyms offer the same schedule options as Bolt, but focus on ninja warrior training at The Agility Center or gymnastics at Dynamite. Our partner gyms are located in the same upper level of Randolph Hills Shopping Center, so siblings could attend different camps right next door!

HEALTH FORMS

(REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF MARYLAND)

The state of Maryland regulates summer camp. In compliance with state law, all campers must complete health forms (online registration via the HEALTH FORMS button below). If a camper does NOT attend school in Maryland, vaccination forms are also required and must be submitted before your child can attend camp (if waiting until the morning of your camper's first day, please note that your child may NOT enter the gym until his or her forms are processed at the front desk). If your child requires special medication needs, additional forms are necessary (see SPECIAL HEALTH CARE below). CAMPERS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED WITHOUT THE REQUIRED FORMS AS THIS VIOLATES MARYLAND STATE LAW.

WHAT TO WEAR?

PROPER PARKOUR ATTIRE

Students may only wear indoor (never been worn outside) parkour shoes; the alternative is bare feet (which must be cleaned with the wipes provided by the gym).

TOP: T-shirts, tank tops (no bare mid-drifts), or other sports shirts.

BOTTOM: sweatpants, shorts, yoga pants or leggings.

PARKOUR SHOES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

All shoes used in BOLT must be indoor, never-been-worn-outside parkour or athletic shoes. While bare feet are acceptable on the trampolines and developmental equipment, we suggested that shoes be worn for use on the wood blocks and metal railings. Below you will find links to buy recommended footwear.

food rules

SNACKS & LUNCH

Snacks (fruit cups or applesauce) will be provided by Bolt, although campers are welcome to bring their own. Campers may bring lunch from home; otherwise, they may order pizza and juice through Bolt. The order MUST be placed upon arrival in the morning. Pizza is $2/slice and juice is $1.

NUT-FREE FACILITY

Please remember that all lunches and snacks brought from home MUST NOT INCLUDE NUTS OR TRACES OF NUTS, nor be manufactured on a shared line with tree nuts. If you pack a lunch with peanut butter alternatives such as sunflower seed butter, please label the item with its ingredients to prevent confusion with a nut product (which are disposed of).

In the event that your child's lunch includes prohibited items, the prohibited items will be confiscated and discarded or sent home with your child. If your child's main entree is prohibited, you will be billed for pizza lunch upon pickup that day.

Please note that foods such as Nutella, cashew butter, and almond butter include tree nuts and therefore are prohibited items.

A day in the life of a bolt camper

WHAT DOES A BOLT DAY LOOK LIKE?

8:30 - 9am FREE PLAY

9am - WARMUP

9am - 12pm*  During morning sessions, campers will learn Parkour skills specific for their level and participate in other age-appropriate activities. Except for a short snack break, campers will spend the entire three-hour morning session in the gym.

12 - 1pm*  The mid-day break includes lunch (brought from home or pizza purchased from BOLT), board games, and independent time (i.e., reading and relaxing).

1 - 4:30pm*  During the afternoon, campers can choose from a variety of activities including workshops for specific skills, arts & crafts, and games. Workshops to learn specific Parkour skills will also be included as afternoon rotations.

4:30 - 6:00pm**  At 4:30, all campers will be chaperoned to The Agility Center (at the other end of the parking lot in the building next to the railroad tracks). Optional late pick-up gives campers some time for trampoline and obstacle course play, games, and relaxing after a long day at Bolt.

*Parents may call ahead to extend their camper's day (and pay the daily rate difference) or elect to incur a $1/minute charge.

**BOLT charges $1/minute for parents arriving after 4:00pm.
