Bolt believes in giving back to the community. Each month, we donate proceeds from one open gym to a designated charity.

In January, Bolt is supporting Comfort Cases of Rockville, MD.

Forty years ago, Comfort Cases founder Rob Scheer entered the foster care system as a child who had lost both parents. He was brought into a house of strangers with all of his belongings in a tattered and torn trash bag. In 2010, four children, who are now his daughter and three sons, arrived on his doorstep through foster care, each clutching a garbage bag holding their few possessions. Scheer was floored. How, after thirty years, were children in the foster system still carrying their lives in a bag used for trash?

After searching for a means to provide dignity to kids in foster care, the idea was born to assemble cases for youths in need. In December 2013, a community invitation brought family and friends together for the first Packing Party to assemble what is now lovingly called Comfort Cases, and the 501(c)(3) charitable organization was born.

Our partner gyms join us in helping Montgomery County's children in foster care throughout the month. Come to a Dynamite open gym and support a great cause!
