Girls Parkour

CLASSES

Bolt strives to efficiently teach students of all ages/levels the fundamentals of parkour, paving the way for success in life and sport. We offer Parkour Basics, Advanced Parkour & Freerunning, and Adult Parkour classes.

 

Classes at Bolt are arranged by age. (limited to a 8:1 student-teacher ratio)

Need a place for your kids to get all that energy out during vacation and days off from school? Bring them to Bolt for an awesome camp experience! Parkour instruction, races, games, and free play! Bolt offers day camp programs for kids and teens ages 6 and up during winter and spring breaks, as well as MCPS holidays during the school year.

What We Teach

Parkour

Parkour is an athletic training discipline in which practitioners (called traceurs) attempt to get from point A to point B in the most fluid way possible, without assisting equipment and in the fastest and most efficient way possible. Parkour includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, plyometrics, rolling, and quadrupedal movement—whatever is suitable for a given situation. 

Obstacle Course

Tumbling

At Bolt, rolls, handstands, cartwheels, handsprings and flips are taught with proper technique using progressions. Solid tumbling basics training, including shaping, strength and flexibility development, allows athletes to transition into a myriad of other sports that incorporate tumbling. As the common discipline among all Dynamite gyms, tumbling is taught with proper technique using progressions.

Freerunning

Free-running is an athletic and acrobatic discipline incorporating an aesthetic element, and can be considered a sport or a performance art. Freerunning is similar to parkour, from which it is derived, but emphasizes artistry over efficiency and speed. It consists of continuous running through obstacles.
